A Concept for a Low-Cost Rapidly Deployable Autonomous Vehicle Support Infrastructure
I am sure I am not alone in believing that most people seemingly do not know how to drive properly but I think that it’s all perception. We can't predict what the driver next to us is doing or planning to do hence every action is perceived as improper. If we can't know, then neither can a computer. This idea originally came about as a means to open up what other drivers are doing. If I can see when someone is accelerating off an on-ramp I can slow down and move over or if they are coasting or braking I can speed up and move over. Makes everyone's driving safer and I figured that autonomous systems would be a great starting point for testing such a system out.
