Robot Swarms for Hands-On Learning in the Classroom
Added May 10, 2017 | Rate View top rated
EPFL researchers created the Cellulo Project with the aim to design and build “the pencils of the future's classroom, in the form of robots.” The researchers created simple and affordable swarm robots that can reside on large paper sheets that contain learning activities. Each robot can move and be moved, allowing rich interactions. Fifteen or more robots can move in synchrony. With Cellulo, a child can actually grab and move a planet to see what happens to its orbit, or vibrate a molecule with her hands to see how it behaves - making tangible what is intangible in learning.
