Added Dec 4, 2013 | Rate View top rated
The Create the Future Design Contest was launched in 2002 by the publishers of NASA Tech Briefs magazine, and the annual event has attracted over 8,000 product design ideas from engineers, entrepreneurs, and students worldwide. Top prize winners are invited to an awards reception and dinner in New York City. Daniel Lockney, NASA Technology Transfer Program Executive, was a special guest speaker at the 2013 Create the Future awards dinner. In this excerpt of his talk, Lockney gives examples of NASA space technology being used here on Earth, and discusses how these technologies are transferred to industry. One key route is through NASA Tech Briefs.
