Curiosity Rover Gives Mars a Dusting

Justin Lin, Mobility Downlink for the Mars Science Laboratory Mission, gives an update on NASA's Curiosity Rover's latest happenings. After the holidays, Curiosity made its way over to Snake River. The team selected a rock for the first-time use of the Dust Removal Tool and exposed features like fissures and pits. Up next, the team will test out the Rotary Percussive Drill - marking the first time Curiosity drills into a rock to acquire a sample from deep within.
