U.S. Navy Prepares for Electromagnetic Railgun Test

The U.S Navy is preparing to install and test an electromagnetic railgun, able to fire a shell at seven times the speed of sound, aboard a high-speed vessel in the next couple of years. The test will mark the first time this type of weaponry has been tested at sea.
